Rhodium is a precious metal, a member of the platinum family. Rhodium plating is used, to provide a surface that will resist scratches and tarnish, and give a white, reflective appearance.
As Copper and Rhodium have such low levels of Nickel, which is what people are allergic to, they are able to be labelled as Hypoallergenic.
